Chapter 36: Cuddling With Kara At Night

Alaric’s heart raced with anticipation as he made his way to his room, the echoes of his footsteps resonating through the grand halls of Steele Mansion. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement, knowing that he would soon be reunited with the comforts of his own space after so long.

As he approached his room, he spotted one of the maids, a young woman with a kind face, hurrying down the corridor. Alaric called out to her, his voice echoing through the empty halls.

“Hey, you there! Yes, you. Come here for a moment,” he said, his tone commanding yet polite.

The young maid, a pretty girl with rosy cheeks and timid eyes, approached Alaric nervously. She curtsied, her voice barely above a whisper. “Yes, Young Master? How can I be of service?”

Alaric’s mind raced as he thought of a way to summon Kara to his room. He needed to see her again, to feel her presence, to continue the intimate connection they had shared earlier.

“I need you to do something for me,” he said, his voice low and serious. “I need you to tell Kara to bring a jar of water to my room immediately. Tell her it’s urgent.”

The maid looked a little confused, her brow furrowing slightly. “A jar of water, Young Master? Is there anything else you need? I could fetch it for you myself.”

Alaric shook his head, his eyes narrowing. “No, I need Kara to do it. Tell her it’s important. Now go,” he commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument.

The maid nodded, her expression turning serious as she hurried off to fulfill the young master’s request.

Alaric watched her go, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. He knew Kara would come, and he couldn’t wait to see her again.

As Alaric reached his room, he slipped inside, the door clicking shut behind him. His spacious room was bathed in soft light from a single bedside lamp, the warm glow casting a golden hue across the plush furnishings. He crossed the room and sat down on his bed, eagerly awaiting Kara’s arrival.

Sure enough, after just a few minutes, a soft knock sounded at his door.

“Come in,” he called out, his heart beating a little faster.

The door creaked open, and there stood Kara. She held a tray in her hands, a jar of water and some exquisite glasses nestled atop it. She then stepped into the room, her eyes lowered demurely, though Alaric could have sworn he saw a spark of anticipation in them.

Instead, there was a hint of excitement in them, as if she had been waiting for this very moment. She knew all too well why the young master had summoned her here.
